Free University Notes

University study is self-study — good notes matter more, not less

At school, a teacher notices when you are lost. At university, mostly, nobody does. Lectures move at their own pace, reading lists are long, and the gap between students who have a system and students who do not widens fast. This page is the university home of AllFree Assets: a place for core-subject notes and entry-test foundations, written clearly enough to study from alone. The goal is not to replace lectures or textbooks, but to give a student a plain-English first pass over a hard topic, so the lecture and the textbook land on ground that is already prepared.

Two different readers meet on this page. The first is the student preparing for entry tests, who needs school-level foundations — Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English — revised quickly and exactly, with no time to re-read whole school books. The second is the enrolled university student who wants core subjects explained without unnecessary jargon. Both are served by the same house style used across this site: short steps, honest explanations, key terms used correctly, and material that is free to read and download, because cost should not decide who gets to understand a subject.

How to use foundation notes well

  • Use a foundation note before the textbook, not instead of it — read the simple version first, then go deeper.
  • For entry tests, revise by topic and finish each topic with timed MCQs, so speed is trained alongside accuracy.
  • Turn lecture slides into questions and answer them from the notes; testing yourself beats re-reading every time.
  • Keep one running document of definitions and formulas for each subject, updated weekly, in your own words.
