Free English & Urdu Notes

English marks come from practice, not from reading rules once

Many students can recite a grammar rule and still write the sentence wrong. The gap is not intelligence; it is practice in small, corrected steps. This page will bring together English and Urdu notes for Class 9, 10, 11, 12 and university students — grammar, essays, letters and applications, translation, and the guess-note style revision that board students ask for before exams. Each set is planned to show the rule, then a correct example, then the common wrong version with the mistake named, because seeing the error is often what finally makes the rule stick.

Writing questions need a different kind of help. An essay or a letter is marked on structure as much as on language: a clear opening, ideas in a sensible order, and a proper ending in the format the board expects. Notes in this section will give that skeleton openly — how to begin, how many paragraphs to aim for, which phrases are safe to use — so a student who freezes in front of a blank page has a first line to write instead of nothing. Urdu notes will sit alongside English here, as they already do in the title of this page, serving students who study and revise in both languages.

A steady way to improve

  • Write a little every day rather than a lot once a week; five corrected sentences teach more than two uncorrected pages.
  • Keep a personal mistake notebook for tense errors, spelling and prepositions, and read it before every test.
  • For essays, learn a structure, not a memorised essay — structures work for any topic the paper sets.
  • Read your written answer aloud once. Sentences that sound broken usually are broken.

Notes on this page

Coming soon — no notes published yet in this section. No English or Urdu PDF is live on All Free Assets yet; publishing began with Class 9 Mathematics. When English and Urdu notes are ready, they will be listed here by class, with grammar, writing and translation sets separated so you can go straight to what your teacher set for homework. Each set will be free to read online and free to download.

In the meantime, the class and subject links below will take you around the rest of the site, including the Mathematics notes that are already published in full.
