Physics, explained one idea at a time

Physics feels hard when a chapter jumps straight to formulas. A student opens the book, sees symbols, units and a long derivation, and gives up before the first example. This page is being built the opposite way: start with what is happening in real life, name the idea in plain words, and only then write the formula. Why does a moving bus push you forward when it brakes? Why does a longer wire resist current more? When the picture in your mind is clear, the equation stops being a thing to memorise and becomes a short way of saying something you already understand.

That approach matters because Physics marks are rarely lost on the final answer alone. Examiners check the steps: the given data, the correct formula, the units, and a working that another person can follow. Our notes are planned around that habit. Each topic will open with the concept in simple English, follow with a derivation broken into small moves, and finish with numerical problems solved line by line, so a slow learner can copy the method, not just the result.

How to study Physics from these notes

  • Read the concept paragraph first and say it back in your own words before touching any formula.
  • Learn the unit with the quantity — length, mass, time, force and energy all become easier when their units stay attached.
  • For every numerical, write data, formula, substitution and answer as four separate lines.
  • Redraw diagrams yourself. A free-body diagram or a circuit sketch you draw is remembered far longer than one you only look at.
  • Revise with the mistakes list at the end of each set of notes, because most lost marks come from the same few slips: wrong unit conversion, a missing square, or a sign dropped in the middle step.

Notes on this page

Coming soon — no notes published yet in this section. Physics is one of the next subjects to be added on All Free Assets, after the Class 9 Mathematics notes that are already live. When Physics notes appear, they will be listed here chapter by chapter, class by class, with a free PDF for each one, in the same handwritten, step-by-step style. Until then, please do not expect a download link on this page — there is nothing to download here yet, and we would rather say that plainly than promise a file that does not exist.

Start with what is already live

If you are in Class 9, the Mathematics notes already published show exactly how this site works: short steps, real exam terms, a check-your-answers page, and a free PDF you can print for your notebook. Start there while Physics is being prepared, and use the class pages below to find your level.
